MINISTRY OF INDUSTRY AND ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY (MOIAT) introduced the Certificate of Conformity Program. This program is concerned with the safety of products in the UAE market, that is indicates that the product is safe, secure and free of flaws that may directly or indirectly harm individuals, society or environment. Under Certificate of Conformity Program, product and shipment conformity program will be operated starting from January 2019, the program has been implemented gradually by Technical Regulations (TR). Upon implementation, importers importing products regulated by the TR are required to register the products for obtaining Certificate of Conformity after passing assessment.
